Company Overview

SolidHost was founded in July 2000. Unlike many other companies which are still successfully in business today, we started from scratch, without large amounts of capital. Particularly during the first two years of our existence, we had to work our way up to the top, we have been through all the ups and downs that every starting company has to go through. By growing steadily and combating all problems in our path, we have managed to grow and become one of the world's most stable and experienced webhosting companies today.

Thanks to the way we started our business many years ago, we have a very thorough understanding of what our customers' needs are, simply because we have been in the very position where they are now. We understand that our customers need their services to be online at all times, without exceptions and need our support department to respond quickly and accurately, whether it be 3PM in the afternoon or 3AM in the morning. Any company can respond to your support inquiry within a few minutes, but that doesn't help if they aren't actually answering your question or addressing the problem. This is how we are different from many of our competitors; we are simply here whenever you need us, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Regardless of the fact that we are in the absolute top segment of the hosting industry when it comes to quality, we are still able to maintain very competitive prices. We are able to do this thanks to the great range of contacts we have established throughout the years, which allows us to strategically acquire our equipment and services. Moreover, all of our staff have each have at least several years of experience in the industry, which enables them to work very efficiently and fast.

Company Overview

Our datacenter is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Europe), where we have our own staff standing by 24/7 in case of a problem. Additionally we operate support offices throughout the world, to efficiently provide support to our customers throughout the day and night. By operating these offices in different timezones, we are able to only let our staff work during daytime (office hours) in their local timezone. Our experience has taught us that by operating this way, our employees are able to start every day fresh, which lets them enjoy their job more which effectively influences the quality of our services in a positive manner. Needless to say it is very important that each office communicates very well with the other, and to make sure of that, we have established a dedicated team which takes care of this during every shift change.

SolidHost is one of the few companies that offer you 99.99% network uptime guaranteed. We have not experienced a second of network downtime for over a year. We have taken countless safety measures to ensure the stability of our network and other infrastructure, as any flaws in our infrastructure might affect our services. Since 2003 we have started to work with virtualization technologies, such as Virtuozzo. Long before most other companies in the hosting industry used these technologies or had even heard of it, we had already made analyzations that virtualitation is the future of the hosting industry. As a result, we have done a lot of research on this subject, which ultimately allowed us to grow out to be one of the largest hosts to specialize in virtualization technologies today. Additionally the fact that we have been working with these technologies for years, contributes to the fact that we have been able to gain a tremendous amount of industry experience, something which most of our younger competitors don't have.
